Strengthening Capability Together: 2025 in Review

2025 was a year of breadth, depth and meaningful impact for Collaborative Consulting Co.

Across Australia, emergency management organisations, communities and research bodies tackle increasingly complex challenges to mitigate the impacts of increasingly intense natural hazards. Minimising the risks to community associated with these events is a continuing priority - from national capability development to place-based resilience planning and research translation. It is always a privilege to support this work.

In 2025, Collaborative Consulting Co contributed to projects that span national predictive services, multi-jurisdictional capability uplift, community-led emergency planning, and knowledge translation at scale. The work has ranged from designing capability roadmaps and severe weather prediction requirements, to developing district disaster resilience plans, to facilitating research, policy and operational groups toward shared understanding and practical solutions.

A unifying theme is collaboration: working with state and Commonwealth agencies, local government, First Nations organisations, research partners and community leaders. Each project reinforces the value of bringing diverse perspectives together and creating practical, useable outputs that strengthen decision-making before, during and after emergencies.

As we head into 2026, Collaborative Consulting Co remains focused on connecting research, policy and practice - and on helping organisations navigate complexity with clarity, evidence and purpose. Thank you to the partners and clients who continue to make this possible. Looking forward to another year of meaningful, collaborative work that supports safer and more resilient communities across Australia.
